WINDING
The optoelectronic yarn clearers have made history. The measuring principle comes closest to assessment by the human eye. The YarnMaster ZENIT+ guarantees online quality assurance in the winding process to produce constant high-quality yarns. A technological top performance at speeds of up to two thousand meters per minute.
online Quality control DURING winding
Worldwide 75% of all staple fiber yarns are produced in ring spinning mills. Next to natural staple fibers like cotton, linen and wool there are also various types of manmade fibers used. The winding of the yarn package is the process of completing the yarn forming process and the starting point of various subsequent processes from weaving or knitting to chemical processing and finishing. On the winding machine - the yarn produced and spun from the ring frame on small ring bobbins is wound to the final yarn package. During this winding process, 100% of the produced yarn is passed through our optical yarn clearers.
importance of yarn clearers in Winding
The visual sense is the most important of the human senses. First sight is essential for our well-being. This is also true for the judgement of the visual impression of high-quality garment made of fine fabrics. Smooth surfaces, which are evenly colored are nice to look at and a sign of quality. High quality yarns are the basis to those fine fabrics. Therefore, the detection and removal of unwanted yarn characteristics, the yarn faults, guarantees that only high-quality yarn is used in the subsequent production steps like knitting and weaving. To create an end-product which fulfills the required delicate look, the yarn quality must be monitored constantly. This complex quality control is done with high technology devices, so-called optoelectronic yarn clearers, and takes place during the winding process.
Colour and other Quality Parameters
A typical example is a small color difference. The human eye is very sensitive to color deviations and recognizes them easily. Colour differences can be a result of poor blending of the raw material, which are noticeable in the end product as disturbing strips. Optical electronic yarn clearers are able to identify even minimal color deviations during winding and eliminate the yarn if necessary. Hairiness is another key quality measure for yarn, as different hairiness can be seen on the woven or knitted fabric as cloudy color gradients. Besides of hairiness optoelectronic yarn clearers detect additional yarn imperfections such as neppiness, thick and thin places and many others.
Contaminations Detection
Another major threat to yarn quality is the contamination of the raw cotton with foreign matter. In addition to organic foreign fibers, like jute, trash or general plant parts, especially the white polypropylene packaging material is difficult to detect. Would those foreign matter remain in the spun yarn, small areas with different color would be visible in the end product. Optoelectronic yarn clearers are able to detect dark and bright foreign matter and finest transparent fibers simultaneously in raw-white as well as colored materials. All contaminations are eliminated reliably.
